Job Description

This position is responsible for performing basic repairs, including testing and trouble-shooting issues, to ensure the Clubhouse, Grounds Maintenance, Villas, and all other common areas are maintained according to property standards.   This position requires knowledge in the following areas: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finishing, high-end kitchen equipment, energy conservation, and/or general building maintenance. 


  • Act as point of contact for repair issues, and communicate updates and resolution to supervisor, team members, and members and guests (as applicable). Respond to, investigate and resolve requests in a pro-active and service minded manner.
  • Perform regular walkthroughs and periodic inspections of the buildings and grounds for deficiencies in the operation, appearance and/or maintenance needs
  • Hands-on, direct operational knowledge of building control systems (shut-off valves for equipment, utility shut-offs for buildings, etc.) to ensure safe and efficient systems operations
  • Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on club house/grounds equipment including: plumbing (unclog drains/restroom facilities), electrical components (electrical switches, outlets and lighting), mechanical/pneumatic (air conditioning, refrigeration, etc.,), and carpentry (surface preparation, painting, minor drywall, and wood-trim repair)
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance parts and supplies, and develop re-order process to limit “out-of-stock” situations
  • Maintain repair records for historical and tracking purposes on all equipment serviced
  • Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tag system prior to performing any maintenance work
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal rules and regulations, as applicable
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Experience and Education Required:

  • 1+ years building maintenance experience  
  • Prior experience managing work orders and prioritizing repair requests

 Skills Required:

  • Understanding of basic repair as it relates to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry principles
  • Strong desire to provide exceptional customer service with great attention to detail, and “can-do” attitude in all situations
  • Must have strong command of the English language and able to speak, read, and write in English
  • Willingness and desire to work independently and as a team to accomplish objectives
  • Basic knowledge of local, state and federal rules and regulations
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, honesty and integrity in all situations
