Job Description

This position is responsible for supervising a newly created fitness Studio focusing on wellness and relaxation for our members and invited guests. The ideal candidate will have hotel/resort “opening” experience and accustomed to working in highly collaborative and communicative team environment. This role will have daily supervision of multiple operational areas including a yoga studio, fitness classes, as well as salon and spa services.    


  • Assist with the overall Studio operations ensuring the facility is maintained in a safe, organized and efficient manner
  • Create a welcoming environment for members and their invited guests, including greeting individuals by name, assessing individual fitness needs as requested, scheduling appointments/assisting with walk-in requests
  • Swiftly and confidently act on member and guest feedback and requests, engaging the General Manager with timely updates as needed
  • Ensure a clean/hygienic Studio environment is maintained
  • Perform regular safety checks on all equipment and escalate any hazards promptly to the General Manager
  • Gather and triage member feedback and provide timely updates to the General Manager
  • Demonstrate all Studio-fitness activities through self-involvement (leading by example) as it relates to wellness, fitness and displaying healthy lifestyle habits  
  • Complete ad-hoc and reoccurring duties as requested

Experience and Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience in golf fitness, physical fitness, personal training and/or relevant experience preferred
  • Previous leadership experience; resort and/or hotel “opening” team experience highly desired
  • Current personal training certification required; yoga instructor certification highly desired
  • Current AED-CPR certificate required

Skills Needed

  • Prior oversight of fitness areas including yoga, salon and spa
  • Strong relationship, communication and collaboration skills to effectively resolve member guest and co-worker requests
  • Ability to create and maintain an environment that is encouraging, respectful and professional
  • Ensure all policies, practices, checklists, SOPs and manuals are consistently followed to ensure safe and effective Studio operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong desire, and familiarity with, working in an environment with changing and competing priorities
  • Flexible approach, based on business demand, and able to work varying working hours, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Possess a high level of self-motivation, accountability, use of sound judgement and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Demonstrate a neat and polished appearance and a confident and professional approach in all situations
  • Demonstrated confidentiality, honesty, and integrity in all situations
