Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting members and guests staying on Property overnight, and providing timely and professional resolutions to member and guests requests in accordance with established standards.  The ideal candidate will have previous Manager on Duty experience, adapt at managing various situations/determining appropriate courses of action, and accustomed to working in a highly collaborative and communicative team environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Greets, welcomes, and registers members and guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
  • Maintains room assignments and makes all efforts to comply with special requests when possible
  • Manages and oversees room key distribution and collection
  • Processes member and guest check-out process
  • Accurately posts and files charges to appropriate member and other accounts on a daily and as-needed basis
  • Runs POS reports, verifies data input, and reconciles data from original to printout
  • Answers phone calls in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner; connects callers as requested, and/or takes and distributes messages as appropriate
  • Process mail and packages, and distributes in a timely manner
  • Operates Front Desk/Office equipment such as in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Reads and initials internal communications such as the "Pass-on Log" and team bulletin board daily; keeps up-to-date on daily activities and meetings taking place in the Club
  • Coordinates guestroom maintenance work requests, and follows-up with the Engineering and Maintenance Department for progress updates and resolution
  • Escalates any unusual requests, occurrences, and/or disturbances to the Member Services Manager
  • Keeps current on all safety and emergency procedures and accident prevention policies; immediately reports any safety concerns and/or accidents to Member Services Manager
  • Maintains the Front Desk/Office area in a tidy, clean and orderly manner
  • Completes other duties as assigned

 Experience and Education Required:

 

  • 3+ years previous MOD experience in a high-end hotel, resort or club environment
  • Associate degree or technical school certificate with emphasis on hospitality or related experience
  • Strong reasoning, judgement and decision making skills

Other:

 

  • Able to type a minimum of 40wpm, and 10-key by touch
  • Able to work overnight hours, from 9pm to 7am, on a consistent basis
  • Uniform is provided

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • This position will be exposed to various working conditions (both inside and outside).  Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend and kneel frequently and for long periods of time
